This is a quick follow-up on my July 13th blog about the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) alert about illegal robocalls.  They are holding a “social media chat” today with several of their attorneys on this very issue.

It’s being held today at 1 p.m. EDT so that consumers can learn from the attorneys:

  • about the problem;
  • what’s causing the spike in illegal robocalls;
  • how the FTC is addressing the problem; and
  • what consumers can do about the problem.

You can connect via the FTC’s Facebook page or on Twitter.  All of the steps for doing so are listed on the FTC’s website.  Go to: http://www.ftc.gov and pull up the link that’s titled: “FTC Robocalls Social Media Chats.”
